Broich has created more goal-scoring opportunities (54) than any other player in the league and is currently leading the Fox Sports Alex Tobin Award tally on 15 – one ahead of teammate Luke Brattan.
But the German says his personal form is just a by-product of the hard work, on and off the pitch, of his teammates and coaching staff at Brisbane Roar.
“I-m pretty much a player who is depending on a system,” Broich said.
“Since the system works so well for us, it-s pretty easy for me to perform alright.”
The two-time Gary Wilkins medallist for the club-s Player of the Year is also one of the most fouled players in the competition and often takes heavy knocks on the field in the process.
Yet Broich is one of only two Brisbane Roar players, alongside skipper Matt Smith, to play every minute of every game so far this season.
When asked what drives him to carry on, Broich-s answer was simple.
“I guess that-s the passion for this club, for this game,” he said.
“I just don-t want to miss a single minute, honestly.”
Broich also believes the next two Hyundai A-League fixtures will go a long way in determining whether the Roar will finish top of the ladder at the conclusion of the campaign in April.
The current league leaders are five points clear at the summit with a game in hand and face third-placed Central Coast Mariners this Sunday before a quick turnaround to face second-placed Western Sydney Wanderers the following Friday.
With destiny firmly in their own hands, the German knows his team can-t afford to be complacent against the two teams that contested last season-s Grand Final.
“We have two really important games ahead of us now,” Broich said.
“Let-s just wait and see how we perform in those two games and where we-re sitting on the table after that.
“It-s going to be really challenging and if we get through that alright, then we-ve a big chance of going for the title.
“As soon as we take our foot off the pedal, the other teams are going to catch up that-s for sure.”
