A Brisbane Roar trifecta have been signed ahead of the 2023/24 Liberty A-League season opener this Sunday against Melbourne Victory.
Brisbane Roar have bolstered its squad with Lions FC’s winger Bec Kirkup, Souths United FC’s central midfielder Sarah O’Donoghue and Eastern Suburbs FC’s goalkeeper Emma Gibbon.
Prolific winger Kirkup brings strength, power and goal scoring flare to the squad after scoring 10 goals in the 2023 National Premier League (NPL) Queensland season with Lions.
O’Donoghue is a Football Queensland Academy product with high technical ability that will provide a positive impact in the middle of the park.
Grand Final winner Emma Gibbon has had a stint in the second tier at Crystal Palace before being noticed by Head Coach Garrath McPherson to add to the goalkeeping stocks.
Fans will anticipate their Senior debuts throughout the Liberty A-League season as we kick off Round 1 this Sunday against Melbourne Victory at The Home of The Matildas & Victorian State Football Centre.
