Brisbane Roar FC is thrilled to announce a double-header on Sunday 26th November at Suncorp Stadium for both the Isuzu A-League Men’s and Liberty A-League Women’s.
The exciting, revised schedule will feature the Brisbane Roar Men’s side taking on Perth Glory FC at 2:00pm, followed by the Brisbane Roar Women’s side taking on Adelaide United with a 4:45pm kick-off – all times are AEST.
Brisbane Roar CEO, Kaz Patafta said it’s about a whole club approach. “We are delighted to have the support of the APL to bring our Women’s team to Suncorp Stadium for a massive Double Header. It’s a fantastic opportunity for our fans and families to see and support both sides at a family-friendly time on a Sunday afternoon,” said Patafta.
“We are thrilled to see the level of interest and support in the Women’s game and we believe this is a great opportunity to bring everyone together.”
“Under new leadership of coach, Alex Smith, and with increased resources and support from the club, our Women’s side are re-energised, focused and excited to take on Adelaide United in front of our supporters at Suncorp Stadium.”
“We’d also like to thank our partners at Ballymore Stadium for their support with this revision to our schedule and look forward to our Liberty A-League Women’s match at Ballymore this Sunday 19 November,” added Patafta.
The club has seen a massive surge of support for the Women’s team, since the side last played at Suncorp stadium 4 years ago. With Brisbane Roar FC Women’s memberships up over +2500{1da264561dd376f9b2add823a677e78092ffba7de7efb9d3ae76566fe866a6d9} this season, next weekend presents a great opportunity for the Queensland football community to come together.
The Brisbane Roar Men’s side will be challenging Perth Glory FC, after their break this weekend for a chance to move into the top four.
All Liberty A-Leagues pass holders will be eligible to attend this Double Header upon receipt of a unique redemption code to be sent out next week.
