O’Shea and Trewin named in A-League All Stars

Brisbane Roar duo Jay O’Shea and Kai Trewin have been named in the A-League All Stars ahead of their exciting showdown with Premier League heavyweights Newcastle United in Melbourne on Friday 24 May.

The pair both earn selection after playing key roles for Roar throughout the 2023/24 Isuzu UTE A-League season.

O’Shea finished as the sides equal highest scorer, netting seven goals along with four assists from 26 appearances in the Roar engine room.

Trewin also played 26 times throughout 2023/24, scoring his first A-League goal in a 5-1 victory over Melbourne City and becoming the first player to come through the club’s NPL program to reach 100 A-League Men’s matches for Roar.

O’Shea & Trewin won’t be the only Roar players in action for the A-League All Stars with Tameka Yallop named in the Women’s side to face Arsenal.

The full A-League All Stars Men squad is set to assemble in Melbourne next week with an open training session for fans to be held on Tuesday 21 May at AAMI Park with tickets available now for $10 via www.ticketek.com.au
