The 2021/22 A-League Women season welcomed back Matilda’s star midfielder Katrina Gorry for a campaign that saw Brisbane Roar finish in sixth place.
Gorry returned to the club for her 10th season and achieved her 100-game milestone in the A-League.
The squad won five times with seven losses, two draws, 28 goals scored and their biggest victory of the season being a 5-1 win over Newcastle Jets in Round 14 that saw Larissa Crummer score a hat trick.
Crummer took out Golden Boot with eight goals, followed closely behind by Shea Connors on seven goals after springing onto the A-League scene following some stellar performances in the NPL Queensland at Lions FC.
This year also marked the start of Ayesha Norrie’s captaincy after taking over from club legend Clare Polkinghorne.
