Brisbane Roar’s preparations for the 2024/25 Isuzu UTE A-League season continue to ramp up with a clash against Adelaide United at the Mildura Sporting Precinct on Saturday afternoon.

The Mildura A-League Festival of Sport which brings A-League sides to Mildura for the first time sees Roar face Adelaide United in at 4:30pm after an ALW clash between Adelaide and Western United which gets underway at 2:00pm.

All proceeds raised will go to Mildura Base Public Hospital’s (MBPH) mobile skin cancer screening vehicle, which is set to launch in 2025, offering cutting-edge care to regional areas.

More than 4,000 people are expected to attend Saturday’s event which is the first of three annual events planned through to 2026.

New Roar attacking duo Rafael Struick and Neicer Acosta have both been named in the travelling squad and are in the mix to make their first appearances for the club against Adelaide on Saturday.

The Reds who finished eighth in the A-League last season have added six new faces ahead of the new campaign with Archie Goodwin, Dylan Pierias, Bart Vriends, Max Vartuli, Ben Folami and Jordan Elsey all arriving at Coopers Stadium.

Harry Van Der Saag, Ben Warland and Ben Halloran who all made the move from Adelaide United to Brisbane in the off season are all in line to face their former club for the first time on Saturday.
