Five members of Brisbane Roar’s Isuzu UTE A-League squad have been called up for International action for the upcoming November FIFA Men’s Window.
Rafael Struick (Indonesia), Walid Shour (Lebanon), Jack Hingert (Sri Lanka) Marcus Ferkranus (Australia U23) & Lucas Herrington (Australia U20) have all been selected for international action.
Struick, who scored his first Roar goal in his home debut against Sydney FC has been named in the Indonesia squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Japan and Saudi Arabia.
Indonesia currently sit fifth in their AFC Third Round qualifying group on three points, two points shy of the second placed Socceroos.
Shour has been called up by Lebanon for a pair of international friendlies against Thailand and Myanmar.
Jack Hingert’s Sri Lanka will head to Qatar for a week long training camp which includes a clash against Yemen.
Ferkranus has been named in a 27-man Subway Australian U-23s squad for a training camp to be held in Western Sydney during the November FIFA Men’s International Window.
The six-day camp – based out of the Blacktown Exercise, Sports & Technology Hub – will be the final assembly for the U-23 cohort in 2024, laying the foundations for the program’s activity throughout 2025.
The Subway Australian U-23s will finish this intensive camp with a training match against Western Sydney Wanderers FC, to give Tony Vidmar and his staff the opportunity to see several new players in action.
Herrington has been called up for the Young Socceroos squad for the China Panda Cup to be held in Chengdu.
The tournament – played out of Chengdu Shuangliu Sports Centre Stadium – will feature U19 sides from China PR, Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia, to be contested in a round-robin format.
The China Panda Cup International Tournament 2024 will be the Young Socceroos’ final assembly prior to their return to China PR for a pre-camp ahead of the AFC U20 Asian Cup China PR 2025™.
