A key recommendation proposed in the submission is the development of a Tier 2 Rectangular Stadium at Perry Park – a dedicated, fit-for-purpose legacy football venue that supports the vision of transforming Brisbane into a vibrant hub for professional football and major international football events.

“This stadium will be more than a home for Brisbane Roar; it will be a destination for football fans, players, and the wider community. It will enhance the in-stadium experience for supporters of both our men’s and women’s teams, inspire future generations of Queensland footballers, and ensure that the legacy of Brisbane 2032 extends well beyond the Games.”

“These recommendations aim to deliver the right mix of major event and community level infrastructure for the sport that is played by more Queenslanders than any other. It will also guarantee a pathway for aspiring CommBank Matildas and Subway Socceroos in Queensland to represent their country on the global stage,” FQ CEO Robert Cavallucci said via Football Queensland’s media release.
