Brisbane Roar is excited to announce that we will be attending the 2025 Bridge to Brisbane on Sunday 14 September, as we aim to raise $10,000 in vital funds for the Children’s Hospital Foundation.
The Bridge to Brisbane is an annual long-distance fun run over a distance of 10-kilometre or 5-kilometre held in Brisbane. The first race occurred in 1997 with fewer than 5000 entrants, with the 2024 edition attracting a crowd of 30,000.
The Roar will be taking part in the fun run with club legend and premiership winner Matt McKay, alongside club staff, coaching staff, current players and the greatest mascot ever, Roary!
With all funds raised by the Roar going directly to the Children’s Hospital Foundation it is set to be an extremely meaningful day amongst the community.
We’re inviting all fans to join in and ‘Run with Roary’ on the day in a show of community support for a great cause.
Commenting on being part of the fun run, Brisbane Roar CEO, Kaz Patafta said: “The Bridge to Brisbane is a key event for Brisbane community each year and we are proud to be taking part.
“With the aim of raising more than $10,000 for the Children’s Hospital Foundation, we look forward to seeing as many fans as possible running with Roary.”
