Brisbane Roar are pleased to announce that prolific forward Kyla Hanson joins the club for the 25/26 season from Eastern Suburbs FC in the NPLW QLD.
The 19-year-old secured the 2025 NPLW Golden Boot with an impressive 26 goals to her name, along with nine assists, after contributing to a successful season for Eastern Suburbs to reach the Semi Final.
Hanson has been referred to as one of Queensland’s best attacking prospects after making her NPL debut at just 15 with Capalaba FC. The goal-scorer also found the back of the net in last year’s match between Brisbane Roar and the Queensland Women’s State Team.
“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to play for the Roar,” Hanson said.
“Playing in front of my family and friends for the club I grew up watching feels surreal.
“I can’t wait to represent the Roar with the fans behind me.”
“Kyla is someone who has been on my radar since I joined the club,” Head Coach, Alex Smith said.
“Her performances and output in the NPLW this year have earned her this chance to step up to the professional level.
“Winning the NPLW Golden Boot at a young age should be a preview for fans for what she will bring to the Roar. She is a fearlessly attacking player who will look to take players on and score goals.”
