Brisbane Roar are excited to announce the signing of striker, Nicholas D’Agostino, who joins the club on loan for the remainder of the Isuzu UTE A-League Men 2025/26 season from Norwegian first division champions, Viking FK.
A current Socceroo, D’Agostino’s signing marks a statement of intent from the Roar heading into the second half of the season.
A product of the Brisbane Roar youth system and former Football Australia Centre of Excellence, D’Agostino made more than +30 appearances for the Roar between 2015 and 2018 before joining Perth Glory in 2019.
Between 2019 and 2023, D’Agostino represented both Glory and Melbourne Victory. It was during his time a Melbourne Victory that D’Agostino was called up to the senior national team where he made his Socceroos debut in 2022 when he featured against Saudi Arabia in a FIFA World Cup Qualifier.
In 2023, D’Agostino made the move abroad to Viking FK, in the Norwegian first division where he has spent the last three seasons. During his time here, D’Agostino has made close to 50 appearances for the club, contributing to Viking FK claiming the 2025 domestic league title.

Speaking on returning to the Roar, D’Agostino said, “It’s fantastic to be back home and putting on the Brisbane Roar jersey once again.
“The Roar was where my football journey really took shape and I’m hungry to fight for the badge and help push the team forward and win matches.
“To the fans, it’s privilege to be representing you once again and I look forward to seeing you all at the next home match.”
