International Break Wrap-Up: A-League Men

Brisbane Roar were delighted to see Quinn MacNicol and James McGarry in action for the CommBank Young Socceroos and New Zealand All Whites during the international break.

Young attacking midfielder, Quinn MacNicol was selected in the Australian U20 National Team to play in the DFAT Series in Yiwu, China.

The Young Socceroos went down 1-0 to China, before bouncing back in their second meeting with an exciting 4-1 victory over the hosts.

James McGarry returned to home soil after being selected in the All-Whites National Team for two friendlies against Finland and Chile in New Zealand.

The All-Whites suffered a 2-0 defeat to Finland before bouncing back with an incredible 4-1 victory over Chile, seeing them win against a South American side for the first time.

A special mention goes out to former Roar central defender, Lucas Herrington who made his CommBank Socceroos debut at just 18-years-old. Herrington played a debut to remember in a 1-0 victory over Cameroon where he received Player of the Match.

Herrington received more minutes overnight in a 5-1 thriller over Curaçao at AAMI Park.
