Brisbane Roar to face Sydney Olympic in 2026 Hahn Australia Cup Round of 32

Brisbane Roar’s 2026 Hahn Australia Cup Round of 32 opponents have been confirmed with Michael Valkanis’ men set to travel to face NPL New South Wales outfit, Sydney Olympic in what will be their first competitive hit out of the 26/27 season.

Roar will compete in the final rounds for the first time since 2023 when they defeated Newcastle Jets, Sydney United, Western Sydney Wanderers and Melbourne Knights to reach the final where they were defeated 3-1 by Sydney FC.

Michael Valkanis enters his second full season as Roar boss and will field a new-look side in the Round of 32 with four new faces confirmed and more to come ahead of the 26/27 campaign.

Marko Ilic, Sabit Ngor, Joel King and Tate Russell have all signed on in Roar orange for the upcoming season.

Sydney Olympic currently sit bottom of the NPL NSW ladder after 20 rounds of action in the 2026 season.

The side from Belmore Sports Ground reached the Hahn Australia Cup final rounds for the fourth time after overcoming Fraser Park in the Preliminary Round 7 action.
