Brisbane Roar sign talented young goalkeeper duo ahead of 2026/27 season

Brisbane Roar is pleased to announce they have signed 18-year-old George Plusnin and 19-year-old Oscar Page on scholarship deals ahead of the new 2026/27 Isuzu UTE A-League season.

A local Brisbane City junior, Plusnin has now penned a four-year deal after having spent several years in the Roar B Team set up and recently representing the Australian U20’s at the AFF Championships Indonesia.

“I’m super grateful to sign with my childhood club,” Plusnin said.

“It’s something I’ve always dreamed of and means a lot to me. I’m excited for the season ahead, to keep improving every day, and do everything I can to help the team achieve success.”

Born and bred in Adelaide, Page joined the club’s B Team ahead of the 2025/26 season and went on to play seven matches between the posts, earning himself a three-year deal.

“I’m extremely excited to sign with Brisbane for the next three seasons,” Page said.

“Gaining my first professional contract for a club of such caliber and history is truly a privilege. Being part of the squad last season gave me a great insight into the culture and atmosphere this team is capable of, with the results now to follow.

“I believe this next chapter will be something special and I’m eager to get started.”

Both players gained valuable experience training with the A-League Men’s squad last season and will be determined to make an impact in the upcoming campaign, competing for spots.

Sporting Director James Gow said, “George and Oscar reflect our goal of developing the best young talent in Brisbane. They both trained regularly with the A-League Men’s team last season and will be eager to continue growing as professionals and competing to play A-League minutes in 26/27. I have full belief that they will make the most of this opportunity.”
