Brisbane Roar can confirm that defender Angie Beard will not be returning to the club for the upcoming Ninja A-League Women season, with her contract having concluded at the end of the 2025/26 campaign.
Beard rejoined Roar in February 2026, marking her return to the club where her professional career began nearly nine years earlier. Her impact was immediate, anchoring the Roar backline through the run home as the club returned to the finals for the first time since 2020/21. She was instrumental in the elimination final win over Adelaide United and helped push Wellington Phoenix all the way across a hard-fought two-leg semi-final.
