Brisbane Roar is pleased to announce that young defender Aaron Reardon has signed a multi-year professional deal at BRFC.
19-year-old Reardon is another player to progress from the BRFC 2-Star Academy, which was established earlier this year, into Brisbane’s Hyundai A-League squad.
Reardon, a crafty left-footer, struggled to contain his excitement after signing his first professional football contract.
“After being part of BRFC family for many years, signing my first professional contract is a dream come true. I’m incredibly thankful to be given this opportunity and can’t wait to play in front of our fans this season at Suncorp Stadium,” Reardon said.
“It’s an honour to be part of this talented group of players and I’m looking forward to improving my game under John (Aloisi), Ross (Aloisi) and Darren (Davies).
“I’m hungry for success in 2018/19!
“Finally, I’d like to thank my family, especially my Mum and Dad for the support they have given me over the years.”
After impressing with the Young Roar in 2018 and performing strongly in pre-season, Head Coach John Aloisi believes Reardon is another important addition to his talented Roar squad.
“On behalf of our Club, I’d like to congratulate Aaron on signing his first professional contract. He is a young talented footballer who has worked extremely hard over the years and deserves this opportunity,” Aloisi said.
“We are confident Aaron has the ability to play a significant role this season.
“It is pleasing to see a young Queensland born and bred footballer develop in our Academy ranks and make the transition into our senior squad.
“I’m sure his story will inspire other young local footballers to one day become future Brisbane Roar stars.”
Reardon & his teammates return to action this Saturday night at the BRFC Training Facility against a Flight Centre Brisbane Premier League Select side (6:30pm KO).
