Brisbane Roar has made its tenth player signing ahead of the Hyundai A-League 2019/20 season with the addition of Premiership-winning defender Scott Neville.
The fullback arrives at the Roar from defending Premiers Perth Glory and adds a wealth of experience to Robbie Fowler’s squad as he embarks on his 12th season in the Hyundai A-League.
The experienced defender, who is just two games shy of 200 Hyundai A-League appearances, was previously an integral part of defences at both the Newcastle Jets and Western Sydney Wanderers.
The former Australian U23 representative, who played alongside his new Head Coach during the 2010-11 campaign, is excited to be able to call Suncorp Stadium home.
“It’s a great opportunity for me and I’m excited to get started,” Neville said.
“I played with [Head Coach] Robbie [Fowler] at Perth so it’s exciting to work under him. He was the ultimate professional as a player and I’m sure he will be as Head Coach as well.
“The Roar is a massive Club and throughout my time in the [Hyundai] A-League, coming to Suncorp Stadium has always been a tough battle.
“If we can turn our home ground in to a fortress, and work together as a team, it will go a long way to bringing success back to the Club.”
Neville is the tenth addition to the Roar’s Hyundai A-League squad, which returns for the official start of pre-season training tomorrow.
