Young Roar striker Mirza Muratovic is expecting another tough task when his side take on Melbourne City at A.J. Kelly Park on Saturday (3pm KO) for the second time this season.
The last clash between the teams was less than a month ago and ended in a tight scoreless draw in Shepparton.
Muratovic was complimentary of Cityās performance on that day but saw the positives in his teamās performance in the last meeting.
āThey were really good opposition last time ā we had a good battle against them and both teams had chance,ā Muratovic said.
āIt ended nil-nil which was good because we got a clean sheet which is always a positive.ā
The young striker has been firing on all cylinders this season finding the back of the net six times and assisting three goals in the opening four fixtures.
āI give a lot of credit to my team for setting me up and Iām taking my chances well,ā Muratovic continued.
āI think Iām in some good form and hopefully I can continue that and carry that into the next few matches.ā
Muratovic is one of a handful of Young Roar players who have earned the opportunity to train alongside the Clubās Hyundai A-League squad, with the chance proving to be immensely valuable for the 19-year-old.
āItās a big privilege because I get to train under [Head Coach] Robbie [Fowler] and all the other experienced [number] nines here,ā Muratovic added.
āThey teach me a lot of things through training and itās just a great experience so I take every chance I get.ā
The young attacker has also been learning from the experienced faces who have been filling the Young Roar squad from the first team throughout the Foxtel Y-League season.
āItās a good opportunity because there are a lot of learning moments for us with the experience that they bring into the squad,ā Muratovic said.
āThey manage the game well for us and itās a lot of help having them down.ā
The Young Roar will be looking to extend their five-game unbeaten run in the Foxtel Y-League at A.J. Kelly Park on Saturday.
