Midfielder Aiden O’Neil makes his return to our extended squad with Head Coach Robbie Fowler naming his 20-man squad to take on ladder leaders Sydney FC at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium on Friday night.
O’Neill is returning from international duty with the Australian U23 squad, where he helped the Olyroos qualify for the upcoming 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. The 21-year-old last featured for the Roar in the side’s last game of 2019 in Newcastle.
Young defenders Izaack Powell & Kai Trewin have also been promoted.
The Roar are looking to extend their unbeaten run to six matches on the back of consecutive victories.
