Brown is in contention for Saturdayās clash against the Reds at Suncorp Stadium, which would be his second appearance at the venue since returning for his second stint at the Club.
āObviously Iām a Brisbane boy ā itās my home city. Iām loving everything about being back,ā Brown said.
āIāve got a few games under my belt and Iām getting used to playing alongside these boys.
āIām really looking forward to being back at Suncorp [Stadium] on Saturday night in front of our great fans.ā
The Roar are coming off the back of a first defeat of 2020, despite a whole-team performance against ladder leaders Sydney FC on the road last week.
Brown conceded that the Roar were unfortunate to return empty handed, but the defender is taking plenty of positives from the clash.
āWe were pretty unlucky to concede in Sydney, but thatās football.
āAs a defensive unit I think weāre doing pretty well and weāre creating chances going forward.
āIām happy to do my bit for the team, and Iām working well with the players around me so it can only get better from here.
āThe boys have been really welcoming. Itās a little bit of a new position for me, but I do love to get forward and playing where I am allows me to do that.
āItās good to get forward and get balls in the box for the boys up front. Iām really enjoying my role in the side and hopefully I can keep bring that same intensity to the team.ā
Saturdayās clash is shaping as a genuine āsix-pointerā with the Reds holding a narrow advantage over Brisbane in the race for a top six berth.
The Roar sit two points outside the finals placing with just over a third of the campaign remaining.
āAdelaide is obviously a team we are fairly lose to and if we can take points against them it obviously brings us closer to that top six,ā Brown added.
āUltimately, thatās our first goal, making the six. We donāt want to stop there though; we want to keep winning and making our way up the table.
āEvery week is the next important game, hopefully we can get the win and keep moving up.ā
