Brisbane Roar is pleased to announce it has secured the services of talented Queensland midfielder Danny Kim for the remainder of the Hyundai A-League 2019/20 season.
The exciting young talent joins the Roar for the backend of the 2019/20 campaign on loan from NPL Queensland powerhouse Lions FC.
The Australia U17 representative and former Young Roar squad member is excited for the opportunity to prove himself at his hometown Club.
“I’m very excited. I’ve been waiting for an opportunity and I’m really grateful to now have the chance to prove myself in the [Hyundai] A-League,” Kim said.
“I now have my opportunity so it’s up to me now to make the most of it and I just can’t wait for the remaining games.”
The 21-year-old has been a key member of the Lions FC midfield in recent seasons – a squad who finished as national runners-up in both 2018 and 2019.
Kim’s former Head Coach at Lions FC and current Brisbane Roar Academy General Manager Warren Moon says this is a terrific opportunity for the young midfielder.
“Danny was the most influential midfielder throughout three seasons at Lions FC and is undoubtedly the finest young midfielder in the State,” Moon said.
“This is a terrific opportunity for him to showcase his talents in Australia’s top league.”
Kim will be available for selection for Sunday’s Hyundai A-League fixture against Adelaide United at CBUS Super Stadium.
