2016-17 Gary Wilkins Medal winner Corey Brown has committed his long-term to future to Brisbane Roar.
The 26-year-old has penned a new deal which will see him remain in Brisbane orange beyond the A-League 2020/21 season.
In July, he became just the 14th player to rack up 100 A-League appearances for Brisbane Roar and is thrilled to have now penned a new deal with his home club.
āIām stoked to have signed on here at Brisbane Roar. Itās my hometown Club and one that means a lot to me,ā Brown said.
āItās been a huge part of my life, obviously coming up through the youth ranks as a teenager. Iāve made lifelong friends here, plenty of great memories over the years too and hopefully thereās a lot more to come.
Brown was a member of the Roarās 2013/14 Premiership and Championship winning squad and believes the current crop has what it takes to add more silverware to the cabinet.
āWe had a really strong run home last season and unfortunately it didnāt go as far as we would have liked,ā he added.
āThis group has the potential to build something really special here at the Club though & I canāt wait to get started preparing for the upcoming season.ā
Head Coach Warren Moon said: āCorey has been a tremendous player throughout the years for Brisbane Roar, rising through the youth team and becoming an integral part of our A-League squad.
āItās clear that Brisbane Roar means a lot to Corey and heās a player that will give his all for his teammates, our supporters and this Club ā thatās the kind of player we want here.ā
