Westfield W-League Head Coach Jake Goodship has added firepower to his attack with the addition of Queenslander & former Golden Boot winner forward Larissa Crummer.
Crummer returns to her hometown club five years after her first stint at the Roar and is thrilled to be back.
“Roar is the squad that everyone wants to be a part of so I’m really happy to be involved,” Crummer said.
“I think we’ve recruited well, we’re playing great football and I’m just really excited to be part of the team.
“It’s great to be back playing in Brisbane, especially now I have a niece and a nephew it’ll be awesome to have them at games for the first time.”
The Sunshine Coast junior boasts an impressive resume having won both the Westfield W-League Golden Boot and Young Player of the Year awards in the 2015/16 season alongside three Westfield W-League championship medals.
The 25-year-old has also impressed on the international stage earning 20 international caps and representing Australia at both an Olympic Games and a FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Head Coach Jake Goodship is thrilled to have his squad’s seventh international representative locked in for the remainder of the campaign.
“It’s a terrific opportunity for Larissa but it’s also a fantastic signing for the Club,” Goodship said.
“She’s a proud Queenslander who has previously played for the club, has an excellent scoring record in the [Westfield] W-League and has done it on the international stage for the Matildas as well.
“Larissa’s record speaks for itself and we’re thrilled to have her on board and ready to help us push for silverware this season.”
Crummer will be available for selection in the Roar’s next Westfield W-League fixture – an away clash against Western Sydney Wanderers on Thursday, 11 February.
