25/26 Ninja A-League Women’s Squad Update  

Brisbane Roar are pleased to provide an update on its Ninja A-League Women’s squad ahead of the 25/26 season.  

The club can confirm that Isabela Hoyos, Momo Hayashi, Ruby Cuthbert, Grace Kuilamu, Leia Varley, Zara Kruger, Chloe Lincoln, Alicia Woods, Ava Piazza, Amali Kinsella and Daisy Brown are all signed for the upcoming season. 

The club were delighted to announce the return of fan favourite forward Sharn Freier on loan from Bundesliga giant VfL Wolfsburg for the Ninja A-League 25/26 season.  

Chloe Lincoln and Alicia Woods were a part of the Australia U-23s squad that defeated Myanmar 1-0 to be crowned champions of the MSIG Serenity Cup 2025.

Prolific forward Kyla Hanson joined the club from Eastern Suburbs FC in the NPLW QLD. 

The 19-year-old secured the 2025 NPLW Golden Boot with an impressive 26 goals to her name, along with nine assists, after contributing to a successful season for Eastern Suburbs to reach the Semi Final.  

American striker Ashlyn Miller joined the club from the University of Texas for the upcoming Ninja A-League Women 25/26 season. 

Roar welcomed back Kijah Stephenson who returns after overcoming her ACL rehabilitation that saw her miss the 24/25 season. The electrifying attacker made 27 appearances and scored four goals for the club across her first two seasons at the club.

The 23-year-old made 27 appearances and scored four goals for the club across two seasons before sustaining an ACL injury in her NPL QLD season with Olympic FC and was unable to play in the 24/25 season due to her rehabilitation.  

Junior Matildas midfielder Kiera Meyers joined the club from premiership-winning side Melbourne City, where she was an injury replacement in the 22/23 season before earning a two-year scholarship deal.  

The club welcomed rising star goalkeeper Tahlia Franco from Sydney FC on board to bolster the club’s goalkeeping stocks.

20-year-old defender Ava Piazza returns to the A-Leagues with European experience after playing for Pyunik FC in the Armenian Premier League and Portuguese side Clube de Albergaria in the Liga BPI. 

Deborah-Anne De la Harpe has departed the club to join Swedish Damallsvenskan club, IFK Norrköping and Emily Pringle has transferred to Brooklyn FC in the United Soccer League (USL). Goalkeeper Emma Gibbon has also departed the club.  

Laini Freier has decided to move on from football following the conclusion of her NPL QLD season with Brisbane City FC and pursue a career outside of the game.

There are a number of signings set to be announced, of both local and international pedigree, in the coming weeks ahead of pre-season kicking off in September.
