Brisbane Roar Academy Goalkeepers Cardiff Pond and Lachlan Duke have been selected to attend the FFA Goalkeeper Development Camp, to be held at the AIS Canberra from October 30 to November 2.
FFA is looking to bring in 12 keepers born in 2005/2006 to assess them in a training environment following this year’s National Boys Championships.
The keepers will complete two full training sessions per day to assess their technical ability, with the last day to be focused on their winning mentality and physical attributes.
“This is well deserved for both Cardiff and Lachlan and will provide the FFA coaching staff the ideal opportunity to get all the identified keepers from around the country together at the one time to assess their current level,” BRFC Academy Head Goalkeeper Coach Dean May said.
“I am sure the boys will perform to a high standard and do both themselves and the Club proud.”
