ALM R12 Preview: Brisbane Roar vs Central Coast Mariners

Brisbane Roar kick off the New Year with a clash against Central Coast Mariners at Suncorp Stadium in Isuzu UTE A-League Round 12 action on Friday night.

Roar look to start 2025 on a high and kick start their campaign with three points against the defending Champions in their fourth home game of the 2024/25 season.

Roar suffered a 1-0 defeat against Western United in their last match, where despite fashioning 14 efforts on goal Ruben Zadkovich’s were unable to find a breakthrough against a resolute Western side, who took all three points courtesy of a Hiroshi Ibusuki penalty.

Central Coast Mariners start the weekend in tenth position on the A-League ladder and come into Friday’s match off the back of a 1-1 draw against Melbourne City on Tuesday night.

Friday’s match kicks off a busy week for Roar, who also face Newcastle Jets at Suncorp Stadium on Tuesday before taking on Melbourne City at AAMI Park next Saturday.
