ALM R13 Preview: Brisbane Roar v Macarthur FC

Brisbane Roar look to make it back-to-back wins when they go up against Macarthur in Isuzu UTE A-League Round 13 action at Suncorp Stadium on Thursday night.

Roar returned to the winners’ circle with a thrilling 3-2 come-from-behind victory over Newcastle at Allianz Stadium on Sunday.

Jay O’Shea’s 90th minute penalty secured all three points after earlier goals from the Irishman and Jonas Markovski saw Ben Cahn’s side twice fight back after going behind to the Jets.

Roar start the weekend in eighth position and are within a point of fourth placed Central Coast Mariners in an increasingly congested league table.

Macarthur, who come into Thursday’s match off the back of a 3-3 draw with Western United, sit seventh and are one of four sides who sit just a point ahead of the Roar ahead of Round 13.
