ALM R15 Match Preview: Sydney FC vs Brisbane Roar

Brisbane Roar go up against Sydney FC in Isuzu UTE A-League Round 15 action at Allianz Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Roar come into Saturday’s match after suffering a 1-0 defeat on the road at the hands of Melbourne City last weekend.

Roar’s hit out with City saw Scott Neville play his 100th A-League match for the Roar with the 35-year-old in the mix to become just the eleventh player to play 300 games in the competition should he appear against Sydney on Saturday.

At the other end of the age scale, 20-year-old Sam Klein put in a solid shift in midfield playing 90 minutes in his first A-League start, as did 18-year-old fullback Pearson Kasawaya, who came off the bench to make his A-League debut in the second half of Saturday’s match.

Saturday’s match continues a busy schedule for Sydney, who sit fourth on the A-League ladder and played out a 0-0 draw on the road against Wellington on Wednesday evening.

Saturday’s clash which will be the 60th A-League meeting between the two sides kicks off at 4pm AEST at Allianz Stadium and will be broadcast live on Paramount+, 10 Play & 10 Bold.
