ALM R23 Match Preview: Perth Glory vs Brisbane Roar

Brisbane Roar head west to face Perth Glory in Isuzu UTE A-League Round 23 action at HBF Park on Saturday night.

Ruben Zadkovich’s side come into Saturday’s match following back-to-back 1-1 draws against Melbourne Victory and Adelaide United in the last fortnight.

Last weekend’s draw at Coopers Stadium was highlighted by a Jacob Brazete wonder goal for what was the teenager’s first in the A-League to cancel out a similarly spectacular strike by the Reds, Harry Crawford.

Glory, who sit three points ahead of Roar in twelfth position on the league table had the bye last weekend and were defeated 4-1 on the road by Western Sydney Wanderers in their last outing.

David Zdrillic’s side are home to Taras Gomulka & Nikola Mileusnic who both made the move from Queensland to Western Australia in the off season as well as David Williams who played for Roar in the competition’s inaugural season.

In the Roar squad Keegan Jelacic and Antonee Burke-Gilroy have all plied their trade in the West while Head Coach Ruben Zadkovich and assistant Chris Coyne were also previously at Perth.

Saturday’s match at HBF Park kicks off at 8:45pm AEST and will be broadcast live on Paramount+, 10 Play & 10 Bold.
