Brisbane Roar host Western United in Isuzu UTE A-League Round 27 action at Suncorp Stadium Thursday night.
Ruben Zadkovich’s side aim to return to the winners circle after suffering a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Melbourne City in their last outing.
Asumah Abubakar continued his strong form netting his third goal in four games while Keegan Jelacic also found the back of the net before an 85th German Ferreyra header saw City snatch all three points.
Western United who sit third on the A-League ladder were also beaten last weekend, going down 2-0 to Western Sydney Wanderers at CommBank Stadium on Sunday.
United who are lead by former Roar boss, John Aloisi are home to former Roar duo, James Donachie and Riku Danzaki
Thursday’s match will see more milestones for Jack Hingert, who last week became the club’s record appearance holder when he played his 304th Roar match against Melbourne City in Round 26.
Hingert will make a club record 273rd A-League appearance for Roar on Thursday with the match doubling as game 300 in the competition for the defender, who started his career with North Queensland Fury.
Ben Halloran will also play his 200th A-League game on Thursday, the winger who has also played for Gold Coast United and Adelaide United has appeared 47 times for Brisbane.

WHAT WAS SAID
“There’s no shying away from it, it’s been a really tough season and we’re yet to win a home game. So there’s still a lot to play for, pride is definitely on the line for us.
We think it’s a very winnable game, we’ve been competitive in almost all of our games this season. It’s just small details that have let us down, so we’re really looking forward to it.” – Ben Halloran
