ALW RD7 Match Wrap Up: Canberra United 5-1 Brisbane Roar

Brisbane Roar went down 5-1 to Canberra United at McKellar Park on Sunday afternoon in Round 7 of the Liberty A-League.

In a tough first half, Brisbane conceded three goals to Canberra with Vesna Milivojević scoring a double, and Sofia Christopherson following.

Mary Stanic-Floody sealed the fourth in the first minute of the second half to lock in their comfortable lead, with Milivojević making it 5-0 with her hat trick.

Moments later, in-form winger Sharn Freier made a superb finish off a Mia Corbin cross to score her first Liberty A-League goal of the season.

Roar will look forward to next week’s clash against Western Sydney Wanderers at their home of Perry Park where they will aim to bounce back to winning ways.
