Angerer nominated for FIFA Ballon d’Or

Brisbane Roar goalkeeper and current FIFA World Player of the Year Nadine Angerer has again been nominated for the FIFA Ballon d’Or.

Angerer, the 2013 winner of the world’s best player award, has been named by FIFA on the 10-player shortlist with the final decision to be determined by the captains and Head Coaches of the women’s national teams as well as FIFA-selected international media representatives.

FIFA will announce the final shortlist of the three players with the most votes on Monday, 1 December with the winner of the prestigious FIFA Ballon d’Or to be announced on Monday, 12 January at FIFA headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland.

Angerer is currently on international duty with Germany but will be back in Brisbane for next weekend’s double header at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday, 8 November.
