Two key strikers have signed on for Hyundai A-League season 2017/18.

Young striker Nicholas D’Agostino and 63-time Socceroo Brett Holman are the latest pair to sign on the dotted line and confirm their futures at Brisbane Roar Football Club.

The duo join a long list of players who have signed extensions to remain in Roar Orange for the next Hyundai A-League season as BRFC ramps up preparations for 2018/19 and beyond.

Holman has made 38 appearances in the last two seasons since joining the Club ahead of the 2016-17 campaign and has found the back of the net on 10 occasions.

The lethal attacker, who has netted a number of memorable strikes both in orange & green and gold, is primed for a Hyundai A-League championship tilt.

“I’m really happy to continue my playing career in Brisbane and I can’t wait to wear Orange again in 2018/19,” Holman said.

“It’s onwards and upwards from here and I’m excited about what the future holds. The group is hungry for success and I’m looking forward to helping the team challenge for another title.”

After rising through the youth ranks at Brisbane Roar, 20-year-old D’Agostino earned himself nine appearances before injury disrupted his 2017-18 campaign.

The young striker made his debut during the 2015-16 season and is keen to add to his current tally of two Hyundai A-League goals.

“I’m honoured to re-sign with Brisbane. The culture here is second to none and I can’t wait for next season to begin,” D’Agostino said.

“My aim is to continue to work hard on improving my game as I want to score goals and help the side win matches. I’ve committed my future to BRFC because I believe we have a bright future.

“With the superb coaching and medical departments we have, and the excellent recruitment we’ve made, I’m sure we will thrive at our new home base in Logan.”

Head Coach John Aloisi says the retention of two versatile and potent attackers is important for the Roar moving into the upcoming season.

“We are pleased that two more talented players have committed their futures to our Club. We are confident that Brett and Nick will have important roles to play in our success moving forward,” Aloisi said.

“Both players will give us depth and further options in the front third with the qualities they possess.

“I am pleased with how the squad is taking shape as we look to have a successful 2018/19 campaign and we build for the future.”
