Brisbane Roar wish to confirm the departure of A-League Women’s Club Captain, Ayesha Norrie following the conclusion of the 2023/24 Liberty A-League campaign.
After Norrie’s third year as captain with five goals to her name, she made her 100th appearance in the A-League for Roar’s last game of the season against Canberra United at Perry Park.
Norrie made her top-flight debut for Brisbane Roar as a 16-year-old in November 2013, playing alongside the likes of Clare Polkinghorne, Katrina Gorry, Tameka Yallop and Kim Carroll.
The midfielder was awarded Player of the Year for the 2021/22 season and was part of the Premiership-winning team in 2017.
Brisbane Roar wish to thank Ayesha for her incredible contribution to our Football Club.
Ayesha thanked all involved during her time at Brisbane Roar.
“Thank you, Brisbane.
It’s been an honor to represent this club. From making my debut, captaining the side, and reaching my 100th game in the league, it’s been nothing short of a privilege.
To everyone at the club—staff, coaches, teammates, and of course, the fans—thank you for your unwavering support and for sharing the highs, lows, and everything in between.
As we wrap up the NPL season soon, I’ll be hanging up my boots for a while and focus on other parts of my life, although I won’t say forever just yet.
I wish the team and the club all the best and will definitely be cheering you all on from the sidelines.
Thank you.
Eash”
