Brisbane Roar Football Club is pleased to announce Mates4Mates as the Club’s newest Charity Champion.
Mates4Mates is a not-for-profit organisation providing life-changing support and rehabilitation services for current and ex-serving Australian Defence Force members who have physical or psychological injuries, and their families.
Mates4Mates will join forces with Brisbane Roar for the first ever ANZAC Day Hyundai A-League match in Queensland on Thursday, 25 April at Suncorp Stadium.

“We are delighted to team up with Mates4Mates for our Anzac Day match at Suncorp Stadium on April 25 against Adelaide United,” Brisbane Roar Chief Executive Officer David Pourre said.
“The wonderful support Mates4Mates give to current and ex-serving Australian Defence Force members and their families is crucial and it’s great the we are able to highlight their excellent work.
“BRFC is proud to host our first Hyundai A-League match to be played on Anzac Day and we thank all those past, present and future service people who dedicate their lives to protecting and serving our great country.”
With centres based in Brisbane and around Australia, Mates4Mates is dedicated to raising awareness and understanding of the barriers faced by the Defence Family and providing support to service men and women and their families as they transition to civilian life.
“We are honoured to be a Brisbane Roar Charity Champion and partner with the team to raise awareness of the challenges faced by current and ex-serving Defence Force members who have physical or psychological injuries, and their families,” Watson said.
“Locals can also make a difference to Mates4Mates by attending the ANZAC Day match on April 25 at Suncorp Stadium, and donating to our cause.
“Community support is instrumental to our work with the Defence Family, ensuring that those in need have access to the right support services.
“We provide a holistic approach to recovery, offering a combination of psychological support, physical rehabilitation activities, employment support, and peer support through social connection activities.”
