Brisbane Roar Football Club condemns the incident of racism directed at goalkeeper Jamie Young that occurred during the second half of Saturday night’s Hyundai A-League match in Mudgee against the Western Sydney Wanderers.
The Club has a zero-tolerance policy regarding racism of any form in the game we love. Racism has no place in our society and we do not condone this type of behaviour.
Brisbane Roar applauds, and thanks, the Western Sydney Wanderers management, staff, security and fans for their swift action and support.
Brisbane Roar’s number one priority is supporting Jamie Young.
The Club will offer its full cooperation and assist Football Federation Australia (FFA) and the relevant authorities to investigate this matter further.
