Brisbane defeated by Perth

Brisbane Roar head home with a 2-0 loss after being unable to convert goal opportunities and struggling to match a determined Perth Glory side at Macedonia Park in the Liberty A-League.

Perth found their first goal in the 22nd minute after Brisbane goalkeeper Isabella Shuttleworth slipped as she carried out a goal kick.

Hana Lowry pounced on the mistake, chipping the ball over Shuttleworth to put Perth up 1-0.

The intensity was kept up by Perth in the attacking third for Lowry to get a second in the 31st minute off a corner with Lowry being in the right place at the right time for a tap-in.

In the 59th minute Shea Connors created an opportunity for Brisbane from a cross that nearly snuck through the near post and followed up with a shot that went straight to the hands of Morgan Aquino.

The Roar are still in seventh place and will be looking to climb up the ladder in the upcoming rounds.

Brisbane take on Wellington Phoenix at Wellington Regional Stadium on Saturday March 4 where they will be hoping to pick up points.

KO at 2:40pm AEST on Paramount+ and 10Play.
