Brisbane Roar have extended their unbeaten run to seven games after an exciting 3-1 win over Sydney FC at Leichhardt Oval.
Roar secured a massive three points on the road against Sydney FC, after their last win against the side away being in Februrary 2021.
Daisy Brown opened the scoring in the 9th minute after Bente Jansen stole the ball from Sydney defence and played a back heel pass to Brown in the box for the 19-year-old to secure her third goal in a row, and fourth of the campaign so far.
Sydney FC responded in the 37th minute with Hana Lowry putting one past Chloe Lincoln to level the score 1-1.
Just before the break, Momo Hayashi put her name on the scoresheet for the first time this season with a spectacular header from a Marianna Seidl lobbing corner.
In the second half, Hayashi found the back of the net for a second time with a rocket from long range to showcase her specialty in the 74th minute and secure three points for the visitors.
Up next, Roar are back on the road to face Melbourne City this Sunday afternoon as they look to continue their fine form and make it eight unbeaten.
