2017/18 A-League Women’s Season Review 

Brisbane Roar secured their third Premiership title in the 2017/18 W-League season after a campaign that saw them secure nine wins with 21 goals, resulting in a top of the table finish.

Head Coach Mel Andreatta’s Roar side made the Semi Finals but were defeated 2-0 at the hands of Melbourne City at Perry Park to put an end their finals run.  

Allira Toby took out Golden Boot after leading the tally with five goals followed closely behind by Hayley Raso four team. 

Captain Clare Polkinghorne was awarded Player’s Player while Celeste Boureille took out Player of the Year and Abbey Lloyd received Young Player of the Year. 

This squad featured a host of current CommBank Matilda’s including the likes of Mackenzie Arnold, Clare Polkinghorne, Kaitlyn Torpey, Katrina Gorry, Tameka Yallop, Hayley Raso and Emily Gielnik.
