Brisbane Roar FC can today confirm that midfielder, Milorad Stajic will be sidelined for an extended period after sustaining a significant hamstring injury prior to kick off of our match against Adelaide United at Coopers Stadium on December 7.
Following multiple consultations with leading medical specialists, Stajic underwent surgery on Tuesday. Stajic’s rehabilitation program has already commenced following the successful procedure, with the club’s medical and performance teams to support him throughout his recovery.
Current assessments indicate that Stajic is expected to make a full recovery and return to action in the lead-up to the Isuzu UTE A-League Men’s 2026 Finals Series, a campaign Brisbane Roar is driven to take part in.
Brisbane Roar, along with our passionate members and fans will stand by him during this period and looks forward to welcoming Milo back soon.
Speaking on the news, head coach Michael Valkanis said, “We are all feeling for Milorad during this time after the outcome of his injury and subsequent surgery.
“However, we know that there is no one more dedicated and hardworking than Milorad and he will have the support of everyone associated with Brisbane Roar to help him make a full recovery.”
