Brisbane Roar can today confirm that 18-year-old forward Grace Kuilamu will be sidelined for an extended period after sustaining an ACL injury during Round 10 against the Central Coast Mariners at PolytecStadium.
Kuilamu is set to undergo surgery in the coming weeks with her rehabilitation program set to commence immediately after the procedure. The club’s medical and performance teams will support her throughout her recovery.
Brisbane Roar is deeply saddened by this setback for Grace, but the club will continue to support her throughout this difficult period and looks forward to welcoming her back onto the pitch stronger than ever.
Speaking on the news, Head Coach, Alex Smith said: “We are all devastated for Grace, especially after sustaining another ACL injury so soon at her age. We are behind Grace every step of the way.
“We look forward to seeing Grace back on the field, but our focus continues to be on excelling in this competition, and we have full belief in the talent that we have in the squad moving forward.”
