Brisbane Roar FC can today confirm a number of player departures from its A-League Women’s squad following the conclusion of the 2025/26 campaign.
The club is immensely proud of the A-League Women’s team this season, with a hard-fought run to the Semi Finals ending in a narrow loss in Wellington.
Bente Jansen will leave the club at the expiry of her contract, having signaled her intention to return to Europe. Jansen was central to a hugely successful campaign, capping her season by claiming the Golden Boot and Players’ Player.
Ava Piazza and Kyla Hanson will also depart, with Hanson returning to the NPL QLD.
Due to the structure of current contracts across the A-League Women’s, several players will return in the off season to the NPL QLD in the coming weeks. Further updates on returning players will follow in the coming months as the club turns its attention to the 2026/27 season.
