Brisbane Roar confirms positive COVID-19 cases

Brisbane Roar flags

Brisbane Roar can confirm that members of its Isuzu UTE A-League Men’s team have tested positive for COVID-19 and are currently self-isolating.

The cases involve double-vaccinated individuals who returned positive PCR tests on 28 December.

All players, coaches and staff are now in isolation and awaiting further results, while following the Queensland Health directives.

As a result, the scheduled match between Melbourne Victory and Brisbane Roar due to be held on Sunday 2 January 2022 has been postponed.

Several other Isuzu UTE A-League round seven matches have also been postponed due to positive COVID cases across the competition.

Brisbane Roar will continue to work with the Australian Professional Leagues (APL) and follow all Queensland Health guidelines to ensure the safety of our players, staff, fans and the wider community.
