Brisbane Roar downed by Melbourne City

Brisbane Roar unbeaten start to the season has come to an end after a 3-0 loss to Melbourne City at Casey Fields.

Coming into the match against City off the back of a win and a draw to start the season, the Roar were looking to continue their impressive start.

City put pressure on the Roar defensive line from the start, creating plenty of chances with 13 shots on target.

Hanuff was able to pull off a number of remarkable saves to deny the home side but goals to Emina Erik, Maria Rojas and Bryleeh Henry saw City secure the win.

The Roar also saw Holly McQueen and Zara Kruger make their Liberty A-League debuts this afternoon.

The Roar will be back on the road next week as they face Sydney FC on Saturday 10 December at 4:05pm AEST.
