Brisbane Roar FC is saddened to learn of the passing of Dave McDaniel, a valued and much-loved member of the Brisbane Roar community.
Dave was a foundational figure in the Roar family, serving as the founding President of the Brisbane Roar Supporters Club and playing a central role in establishing The Den, the supporter group that has been a heartbeat of our match day.

Dave will remembered as someone who gave his time freely, who showed up, and who made the community around this club richer for being part of it. Many in The Den community also had the privilege of sharing the pitch with him in a social competition as part of Den United.

He is survived by his wife Liz and their children, and our thoughts are with them entirely at this time.
As a mark of respect, the Brisbane Roar men’s team will wear black armbands in tomorrow’s match against Central Coast Mariners in recognition of Dave’s contribution to this club and the community he helped build.
Rest easy, Dave.
