Brisbane Roar are proudly partnering with Legacy Brisbane as our Charity Champion for Brisbane Roar’s Anzac Day clash against Sydney FC on Monday April 24.
The club passionately supports Anzac Day and the commemoration of our veterans past and present.
Brisbane Roar is proud to be supporting Legacy Brisbane again in 2022/23 and will be commemorating the partnership by featuring the Legacy logo in the bottom right corner of the Brisbane Roar Anzac Day kit along with the Anzac Day appeal logo.
A select number of Anzac Day match-worn kits will be put up for auction post-Anzac Day. The club will also be assisting in selling Legacy teddy bears at the game and promoting them online.
Brisbane Roar players will be attending schools and football clubs that support Legacy and align with the charity’s mission.
“Legacy Brisbane is grateful to be the charity partner for Brisbane Roar’s match against Sydney FC on the eve of Anzac Day,” Legacy CEO Brendan Cox said.
“Funds raised at the game will help us to continue delivering the social, emotional, developmental and financial support programs for the families of our veteran community,” he added.
“The funds raised through the support of the Brisbane Roar community will enable us to continue to deliver personal, long-lasting help to the families that have sacrificed so much for us, which is what Legacy has been doing from 100 years.”
