Brisbane Roar will be returning to the Fraser Coast in July for a pre-season training camp and exhibition game.
The pre-season training camp will be followed by a game against an FQPL Wide Bay Men’s All-Stars team. The squad will also be undertaking a range of community engagement activities, while the Roar Active Program will be hosting clinics during the Fraser Coast visit.
“We are looking forward in our annual visit to the Fraser Coast, which over the years has built a solid following where we engage all ages across our clinic’s, community programs, open training sessions and exhibition game against a Wide Bay All-Stars team,” said Roar Chairman, Chris Fong.
“This is a great opportunity, early in the pre-season, to spend time away with the coaching staff and playing group as we work to build the squad for the upcoming 2023/24 season,” said Head Coach, Ross Aloisi.
“I hope a large contingent of Fraser Coast football supporters come to watch the game,” Fraser Coast Mayor George Seymour said.
“The games have been exciting, and the Wide Bay players have gained a lot from the experience, as have the spectators,” he added.
“Hosting the Roar has multiple benefits for the region. It allows our home-grown players to watch elite athletes in action and train with some of the best football players in the country.”
