Brisbane Roar is excited to announce the club will return to the Northern Rivers to take on Broadmeadow Magic at Crozier Field in Lismore, as part of the club’s 2026/27 A-League Men pre-season preparations.
The match kicks off at 12:30pm AEDT on Sunday 11 October with tickets on sale now HERE.
The fixture marks the Roar’s return to Lismore following last year’s visit, when the club took on the Newcastle Jets at Crozier Field ahead of the 2025/26 A-League Men season.
This year’s opponents arrive in strong form. Broadmeadow Magic claimed a club-record third consecutive NPL Men’s Northern NSW premiership in 2026 and are preparing for their second Australian Championship campaign. The match will give both sides a quality hit out ahead of their respective campaigns.
Brisbane Roar Chief Operations Officer Zac Anderson said the club was excited to return to the Northern Rivers and connect with its regional fanbase.
“We are thrilled to bring the squad back to Lismore as part of our preseason preparations with this match against Broadmeadow Magic, one of the most successful sides in the National Premier Leagues over the past three seasons,” Anderson said.
“The support we received from the Lismore City Council and community in the past two years has been outstanding, and returning to Crozier Field gives our players a great opportunity to continue to prepare for the upcoming season while connecting with regional fans who love the game. We look forward to building on this strong relationship into the future.”
Brisbane Roar thanks Lismore City Council for its ongoing support in making the match possible. The club also extends its thanks to Broadmeadow Magic for stepping in at short notice after Oakleigh Cannons withdrew from the fixture and for their assistance in ensuring the match could go ahead as they prepare for the Australian Championship.
