Brisbane Roar can confirm the club has signed forward Maja Markovski ahead of the 2026/27 A-League Women season.
Markovski joins the Roar with two A-League Women championships to her name, won in successive seasons with Melbourne Victory in 2020/21 and 2021/22. She scored her first A-League goal in the Melbourne Derby on Boxing Day 2021, and returned to the NPL in 2024 with FC Bulleen Lions, where she finished the season as league champion, Golden Boot winner with 20 goals, and NPL Women’s Player of the Year. She joins Brisbane Roar after a spell with Canberra United.
Speaking on signing with the Roar, Maja Markovski said, “It’s a real honour to have the opportunity to represent Brisbane Roar and work under two great coaches. The club has such a proud history and passionate fan base, and I’m incredibly excited to be a part of it. I can’t wait to get on the pitch, contribute to the team and hopefully help make it a really successful season.”
Head Coach Johnathan Clemente said Markovski’s signing added proven goal-scoring depth to the squad.
“Maja has all the attributes to be one of the best attackers in this league, tall, quick, powerful and a top finisher with versatility to play across the front four. She has proven how dangerous she can be in the A-League already and I’m excited to give her the chance to do it again.”
