Brisbane Roar are pleased to confirm the signing of reigning NPL Queensland Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year, Anneka Lewerenz on a short-term deal through to the end of the 2024/25 Ninja A-League season.
The 25-year-old American born goalkeeper arrives at Roar from Sunshine Coast Wanderers where she established herself as one of the state’s premier shot stoppers over the past two seasons.
Lewerenz was crowned 2024 NPL Queensland Goalkeeper of the Year after keeping six clean sheets while average 4.4 saves per 90 and completing a 75% save rate for the Wanderers who finished in sixth position on the league table last season.
The goalkeeper who has also spent several seasons with Broadbeach United was born and raised in Boise, Ohio before arriving in Australia in 2018.

“My focus for the remainder of the season is to contribute all I can for the club and successfully fulfill my role in team. I am excited to learn from an outstanding coaching and playing group.”
Lewerenz, who joins Keeley Richards and Emma Gibbon in the club’s goalkeeping ranks is available for selection for Sunday’s Round 19 clash against Newcastle Jets at Perry Park. Get your tickets HERE
